Exploring Colorado To the mountains we go!

National Monument GJ

The most obvious part of the trip, especially if it's somewhere you've never been to, is to explore the area. One of the first stops that we made, was to the Grand Junction National Monument. The National Monument is a scenic drive/hiking area that runs for twenty-three miles and takes you on a journey of a canyon like view. Which takes you up and around Grand Junction where your looking down at the valley and the town. We stopped at several different viewing areas and took pictures some of the photos I took are some of my favorite photos I have ever taken. Even though I was freezing since we were so high up, I still enjoyed cruising around and seeing the valley from above.

Viva La Tourist Lego Castle

I loved going to all the local stores located on and around the Main Street area. One of my favorite places that we visited was this unofficial Lego Store that had this huge display of this castle that was built by a local high school teacher. They had multiple coffee shops and I enjoyed trying all the different spots to figure out which one was my favorite, as my Mom and I are both big coffee lovers. We looked around at some antique stores and I saw a lot of interesting items that I wanted to get but I wouldnt have been able to fly home with. I actually ended up getting my ears re-pierced while I was there at a local piercing shop, and explored the local Mesa Mall.

Explore, Explore, Explore! Snowing in March

Growing up and living in a state that tends to be hot almost all year round it's weird spending a week somewhere, in the middle of March there can still be a chance of it snowing. Two days before we went to Ouray, Colorado it had snowed and when we arrived in the little skiing town, you can still see the snow fresh on the mountains and a chill still in the air. When we took a scenic drive through Gunnison, Colorado the place was covered in snow as it had snowed the night before, luckily the roads were freshly plowed. Although, we had to make a pitch stop as one of the twins needed to be changed. We ended up getting stuck in the snow, but my dad was able to push us enough to get back on the road.

Next Travel Destination! One of the placest I most excited to go see when I go back in the Summer is the Black Canyon!
